Twonky media on WHS configuration page restricted.

I have successfully installed Twonky on my frenkenbuild WHS but when I try and open the web based configuration i get a red page say "Access is restricted to MediaServer configuration!".

I get this page both when opening the page directly from server:9000 and from the WHS consule.

Thsi is not a major problem because the server seems to work ok, but I would like to change the navigation tree.

under normal conditions the config page is only accessable locally (e.g. the computer where it is installed).
if using the whs console from aclient, the link :9000 is openend on the client computer, hence blocked.

you could either use remote desktop to open the link directly on the homeserver or change the behaviour in the twonky config file. Something like "enableweb=2" or the like.

good luck

Thanks for the info.

Where is the configuration file stored for the WHS version ?

Is it not possible to edit the navigation tree on the WHS version ?

I would love to know this as well. I really don't want to run anything locally on my WHS.

Any help would be appreciated.

It´s the file "twonkymedia-server.ini" under "/documents../all users/application data/Twonky server" (i go the german version, so the names may vary).

The setting to alter is:

Code: Select all

# enableweb
enableweb=2
