Sony Bravia KDL46W5800 and Twonky 5.0.68 - no mpegs possible

Dear all,
i'm a newbie on DNLA and currently eval some alternatives to WMP. Must say Twonky is easy to install and looks & feels very comfortable. Since some days i am the proud owner of this TVSet and my idea almost came true to get a big screen to watch my huge picture archive any time and also watch some "dark and dingy moviez" occasionally.
Setting up Twonky was no big deal, by today i'm running three twonky media servers for a test on XP Prof and Home and w2k, one is wireless (Home) for test and a second (Prof) and third (w2k) is connected to my 100Mbit wired LAN. I use fixed IP's for all, no other media service is running simultaniously while evaling Twonky.
The Sony LCD is also doing fine on network to internet, both Twonkys and the Sony can chat as well and viewing pictures or play music via Twonky is working. So this was a good start !
While playing with the Sony first i did a USBKey with Audio, Pictures and a mpeg1 clip and verified the performance versus Twonky - it appears there is no lack of speed on pictures and audio - regardless of wired or wireless server.
The problem is the video - the fileformat mpeg1 used by the TV is not the best, but this TV plays it from the Stick and Twonky does not (yet).
I should better say: the file is not listed on the TV Menu for the twonky server in opposite to proper listing and function via the USB Stick - As main indicator it is that the video chapter on the GUI of the TV is not active - just the pale logo and no way to enter this directory. via the other chapters like picture or audio the next level which has a video subfolder responds for the twonky folders: " no such video file present " (in sense / it's german) - which makes sense from Sonys logic.
At the current, the folders on all devices (Twonky and USBStick) are named same, just the twonky servers differ on names, but contentwise it's all same.
Browsing from any other workstation at home to the twonky server shows this files to be listed. Opening this videofile on the first twonky with the media browser from the second twonky works also...
Resetting the device list or restarting twonky server bring back the Sony always to be a generic media server in all cases....any other profil does not work are causes the TV to stop working withTwonky.
So i wonder what i missed or have done wrong...probably a "newbie fault" or a missing information, i'm grateful for any suggestion how to make it work.
many thanks & best regards from Frankfurt/Germany
