Noticed 5.1.2 has been released. See the latest builds thread for the download URL.

From the release notes:

Release notes for TMS 5.1.2
----------------------------

New in Version 5.1.2:
+ Added a backup tool to create backups of Twonky's database (Windows releases only).

Changes:
o Re-Added "Composer" and "Personal Rating" to the advanced navigation tree
o Support multi value genre tag according to ID3v2
o Several enhancements in the mpeg parser.

Bug fixes:
- fixed: Title string is broken for items with an apostrophe in the title.
- fixed: "groupid" handling not working properly in the view generator.
- fixed: Sometimes online feeds are missing
- fixed: There is some noise during the first few seconds when WAV is played on DENON AV8003
- fixed: picture scaling in XBox client adaptation

Note: "Rebuild database" now does a complete rebuild of the database. Metadata changed or added through external applications like TMM is not preserved! To preserve such data, please use the new backup tool that is included with TwonkyMedia.

Fantastic news; looking at the advanced shortcuts, it looks a lot more comprehensive than before!

I do hope they consider also including the albumartist/album container in the next release though; not having that is a big loss to a few folks (probably a relatively small few, but there certainly are folks that use it; it's a great alternative to simply hiding the compilation artists in order to keep the list size down).

Well, in my MP4s, if the Genre is tagged as "Comedy" it is still placed under "Unknown" genre by Twonky.
Any other genre works properly... Including even "Comedy2"... The word "Comedy" just doesn't work with Twonky v5.

And still

Code: Select all

error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++.so.6
on a NSLU. Folks, from the PMs I sent you and the comments from the forums you should already know that there is no libstdc++.so.6 on NSLU, so why don't you compile it with libstdc++.so.5 support? It is possible, because you released this for other NAS.

Quite disappointing...

I'm affraid that PV's great involvement in these forums is a thing of the past.
It's sad to see the great community involvement gone. (with the exception of Rick of TMM).
