Hello,

I have same problem on OSX with Twonky Server 5.1.2.!

So I'm curious about the solution too, because I don't want to convert all my MKVs to other supported video format.

Regards,
Peter

Hi,

i'm from germany so, sorry for my english.

I had the same problem but i fixed it today.

1. You have to search in your twony install-directory (..\TwonkyMedia\resources\) for a file named "clients.db".

2. Open it with an editor.

3. Search for a line called "Samsung TV"

4. Replace the lines with

Code: Select all

NA:Samsung TV
DD:Samsung HDTV
XM:DLNA15
XM:DATETIME
XM:FORCE_DURATION
XM:FORCE_4TH_FIELD
HP:chunked
MT:mpeg,mpeg2,vdr,spts,tp,ts,avi,divx,mkv video/mpeg
MT:m4a audio/mp4
AV:no-m3u
DB:FIX
This should help ...

Hello,

Thanks for the tip. My TV can play the MKV files now with the CLIENTS.DB changes. I have only one issue yet: the fast forward doesn't work. If I do FF the video playing restart from the beginning.

Regards,
Peter

PS: Don't worry for your English, it's better as mine! :)

Hi All

all works fine for me only if I rename the MKV files to MPG:
Now, almost all file is opened by my Samsung Led using network... but someone no. If I open the same files using usb directly all files is opened.
How can I verify wich is the problem for "not supported" file ?
And... how can I Fast forward and Rew the movies ?

Hello myjpkl,

Sorry for the late reply. So, I simple copied the description above to the clients.db. After you restart the server need to change the receiver type in the Media Receivers menu.

I hope this is help to you,
Regards,
Peter

The samsung entry in my clients.db file doesn't look like the example. How do I add .mkv to mine?

Hello Mr.Shaky,

I simple created a new entry in the clients.db . You can do this with copy the lines below to the file. After restart the server, you can chose this type in the Media Receivers settings pane.

Peter
