Is this possible?

Right now I have my server set to show 2 different entries for my videos: Date Added & By Folder
Is there any way to have it do a "Folder by date"?
For example, Select "Folder by date", it then lists all folders. Go to a sub-folder, it then lists the files in order of date added.
Any way to do this with version 4.4.x?

In the Video tree config page, next to the Folder node should be an Add Level button. Click that and add Date as the next level.

I've done that, but it doesn't work correctly. It shows goes directly to showing the list of dates of files added. I never see any folders.

For me it does a bit of both - shows the dates for files in the top-level folder but also shows the lower level folders.
Do you have a number of separate folders for your movies? Do you list them individually on the Sharing config page?
If you list just a top-level folder on the Sharing page then you will see the lower level folders the same as I have.

I have my system setup like this:
root/Videos
root/Videos/Action
root/Videos/Comedy
root/Videos/TV
root/Videos/TV series 1
root/Videos/TV series 2
etc
I share the Videos folder & all subfolders under one entry.
For the entry in the Video tree, I had this:
name: Folder by date
Type: (1st level): Folder
Type: (2nd level): Date
When I go to the "Folders by Date" entry from the root of the Videos tree, I get this:
- ALL -
0000-00-00
2009-02-06
2009-02-07
2009-02-08
etc

I also just tried reversing the 2 levels (Date & Folder) in that tree. It gives the exact same results.

I don't get the same behaviour as you - see my earlier post.
Here's a selection of relevant INI file entries from my setup:
# contentbase
contentbase=/mnt
# Content Locations
contentdir=+M|/disk1/Music,+P|/disk1/Photos/CamediaImages/Album,+V|/disk1/Videos,+V|/usbdisk1/Videos
# Video node 1
videonode1=Folder,%PATH,%DATE
Can you compare these parameters with yours?

This is weird...
(no contentbase entry - running on Windows Home Server)
# Content Locations
contentdir=+M|D:\shares\Music,+P|D:\shares\Photos,+V|D:\shares\Videos
# Video node 3
videonode3=Folder by Date,%PATH,%DATE
I was running v4.4.9. I just updated it to 4.4.18 and see no difference whatsoever - it does the exact same thing.
