Folder Help

Hi guys,

I have just downloaded the trial of TM Server, running it on a Windows7 PC, connected with a Sony PlasyStation3.

I would like the PC to serve videos and music.

Music, I'm OK with. I have all my music in folders the way I want them displayed on the PS3. That is, a folder for each artist, and each artist then has a folder per album. I have added the root of those folders, and it works 100%. So, on the 'server' the structure is something like: C:\Media\Music\Full Albums\[Artist]\[Album]\[songs.mp3]

Now, video.

I have a load of movies in a 'Movies' folder. I then have TV series's in a different folder.

So:

C:\Media\Video\Movies\*.* <---- All movies here.
C:\Media\Video\Series\[Series Name]\[Season]\*.*

I also have all my home shot video in a folder.

So:

C:\Media\Video\Home Shoots\Rendered\*.* <-- Videos all here

I have added EACH of these folders as 'Video Only' (Except the music one, which is Audio Only).

Now for the problem.

When I browse on my PS3, I select Video .> [TwonkyServer] ->

Then I see All Videos, By Date, By Folder.. etc etc.

First question: Can I make it show ONLY 'All Videos' and 'By Folder'. Get rid of the 'By Date' etc?

OK, then I select 'By Folder', and see All my movies and home movies in the same 'view'. I was hoping to see 'Movies' as a folder, and then 'Series' as a folder, and then 'Home Shoots' as a folder. Instead they are all in the same list. Can I split them? The series's are nearly right. They are all grouped at the top, in folders. But I'd prefer to see a 'Series' folder, in which they are contained.

Hope someone can follow me and assist. I might buy TwonkyServer if this can do what I need it to.

Thanks guys.

Put one entry in for Videos pointing to C:\Media\Video. Then the lower level folders will show up under that such as ovies etc.

The "By Date" option depends on the server version you are running - for 4.4.x you need to make changes on your Video Tree config page, but for 5.x you need to modify the view xml files in the resources/views folder (which is a whole subject in its own right).
