Hi all

When WHS is resuming after hibernate, TMS always reports trial license has been expired.
In order to solve this issue, I have to reboot WHS. After reboot, TMS works fine.

The license key have been purchased on Nov 21, 2009.
As said, it works as expected after boot on WHS.

TwonkyMedia version = 5.1.2
Server hardware = Intel D945GLF2 (Atom 330 @ 1.6 GHz), 1 x 2 GB RAM, 2 x 1 TB HDD (WD10EADS)
Operating System = WHS including Power Pack 3
How many files you have in your database = Music: 1130, Pictures: 687, Videos: 3
Network type = wired

Any idea?
Does someone facing the same with resume after hibernate?

Thank you in advance for any hints.

Hi,

I am experiencing the same issue that sofa-schlaffi has. Each time my Acer easystore H340 has returned from standby mode, the Twonky Media Server is not working anymore, saying in the WHS console that the license has expired (" Testlizenz ist abgelaufen"). Once the Server has been completely shut down and rebooted the license key is valid again.

I have purchsed a license key on 31.12.2009.

I would appreciate if this issue could be solved in due time by Twonky or a workaround could be described.

Many thank in advance.

Hi,
I had the same problem.

It seems that I was able to solve it using LightsOut (the "green IT Add-in").
LightsOut allows to start/stop specified services on standby/wakeup.
Add "TwonkyMedia" to the - comma-delimited- list of servers ("Action" slider on "Settings" page.

I cannot prove for sure whether this will work 'forever', I just tried it one hour ago, but it helped at least for two tests now ...

Regards
Frank

Hi Frank

Thanks for the hint. I have LightsOut running on my WHS and put "TwonkyMedia" in the list of services (German: Dienste) to stop/start during hibernate/wake-up. I will view the behaviour for some days and come back here to share my experience.
