Twonky Keeps Reverting to Default Settings on DNS 323
I have Twonky 5.1 installed on a DNS 323 and every time I restart the NAS Twonky reverts all of the settings including the license key. So I have to change the directories to scan and re-enter the license key every time I reboot the NAS. I have tried everything I can think of. I always choose save settings and reboot Twonky when ever I change a setting which works until the NAS is rebooted.

Do you have the correct permissions set on the INI file on the DNS323? The user that twonky runs as needs write permissions on the config file.

I may not. How would I check this?PeeBee wrote:Do you have the correct permissions set on the INI file on the DNS323? The user that twonky runs as needs write permissions on the config file.

Actually I did a chmod and added write ability to the twonkymedia-server.ini file. Is this the only file that needs write permissions?
edit: after doing chmod -Rcv g+w,o+w on the twonky folder and i notice that the INI file is still not changing when i update the scan time, save changes and restart the server.

The alternative is to make the changes by rpc calls from a web browser. Search this forum for RPC to find out how to do it - I've posted it many times already!
