Will a license key for TMS 5.12 work for TMS 4.4.9?

(Refer to my other posting.) I'm considering uninstalling TMS 5.12 from a friend's machine and installing TMS 4.4.9. I just bought a license for TMS 5.12. Will it (the license key) work on the older version? Since I can't seem to get tracks to sort properly by MP3 tags within a folder using 5.12 and it works fine on 4.4.9, I'm sort of forced into this.

Unfortunately a TMS 5.x license key will NOT work with TMS 4.4.9. You'll need TMS 4.4.11 or later.

I bought a v5 license key and used it when I was running 4.4.6 on my LS Pro and it worked fine. Now upgraded to 4.4.18 and it still works.
