License key doesn't work, no help form Support

Hi,
I use Twonkymedia Server version 4.4. So shoot me. As it works I see no reason to pay to fix it.
But recently I made the mistake of experimenting with the NAS package (also version 4.4) for installing Twonky on and unslung NSLU2. I had thought that one was allowed up to three uses of the server in a home network and only ever had had one so apparently I was mistaken about that, because as the NSLU2 experiment failed and the NSLU2 unit is now completely removed from my network and system (should I bury it in the backyard?) my only Twonky server keeps saying "This key is already in use by another instance of the server."
I get no help from Twonky Service over three days of trying. They keep repeating requests for my version number, which I have given them over and over from the first. It's as if their only purpose is to frustrate me into paying for and installing an upgrade to version 5.
I know from searching the forum about the internet disconnect workaround and am doing that right now by I feel I shouldn't have to (makes me feel like a pirate). I paid for my license and it should be turned back on or I should at least be given Twonky's reasons for failing to do so.
