How can the delimiter (separator) for Genre and other tags be defined: i.e. a ";" semicolon instead of a comma?

This is critical for me, as I use ";" and want to stick to it as it's much better than a comma (not so often used). Plus I don't want to re-tag my 50'000 songs etc.

Many other media server software have this setting in configuration.

In principle I prefer the UPnP (DLNA) approach together with PlugPlayer. but if I can't solve the delimiter problem, I'll have to go for Squeezebox Server; or find another Linux UPnP Server which I can install via SSH on my NAS.

After in depth testing I decided to use Squeezebox Server and Receivers/Players/Controllers (iPeng) as my main music framework. Squeezebox is very smart in handling delimiters in id3v1 and id3v2 tags.

I keep Twonky Media Server as a backup for other devices; mainly for my television (pictures and videos), where I don't depend so much on tags. I also use PlugPlayer to stream videos and photos to iPhone.

I wait how DLNA, PlugPlayer, Twonky and mainly receivers do evolve. Many receivers can't be controlled although they state DLAN conformance. Today Squeezebox Server (fka Slimserver) offers the greatest possibilities without fiddling around.

I still hope Twonky Media Server will offer soon more flexible in handling delimiters in the genre music tag, but also others.

My decision was influenced by the available media servers coming with QNAP Linux.
