My new TV is a LED TV (UE46C8700)
With an USB-Harddrive connected to the TV, i will seen all my .mkv Files without Problems.
Over UPnP, DLNA i see the Title in the mediaplayer of the TV , but i cannot read the movie.....
I Have the latest Version of Twonky Media Server in version 6.0.
When i Install other Servers, such "Wild Media Server" or "Mezzmo" , all Mediafiles (.mkv) streams superb over my new Samsung TV.
i hope, in a new Version of TwonkyServer, i can read my HD Files .

I have a similar issue, and it has me confused! The MKV file plays on my Samsung if I copy it to a USB drive and plug it directly into the TV, but won't play using Twonky. Obviously I'm missing something here - I don't understand why I'm having trouble getting a file to play through Twonky that the TV can read natively.

Have you told TwonkyServer that it's a Samsung TV?
No longer running Twonky

Same behavior with my Qnap TS459 (Twonky Media Server 5.1.4-RC2) and my TV Samsung UE46C6700.
The TV sees the mkv files but It can't play them.
BTW it works fine with Window Media Player server.
If I can help let me know.....

Yes, Twonky is told it is a Samsung TV (or a Samsung Series 6 - it doesn't seem to make a difference). I like Twonky, but when it comes to registering... if I have to pay for a server, Wild Media Server and others play all the files they "should". This does need to be looked into!
