Is there a way to disable start-up on a mac so that my browser doesn't open when twonkyserver starts. I do not mind that twonkyserver starts up but i don't want my browser window opening every time also.

Any thoughts? I'm probably being blind and unable to find the correct tick-box to disable it

I couldn't find a way to prevent the browser window from opening on startup on my Mac, other than to prevent the Twonky media server from starting automatically (I don't need it that often an it can be started manually from the Applications folder).

This was simply done by selecting System Preferences and with my account and Login Items selected, I removed the entry for TwonkyMediaServer from the list by selecting it and pressing the "-" button below the list.

I'd prefer it if the media server didn't launch the browser every time it starts.

hi

twonkymediaserver stopped

right click on twonkymediaserver app,
click on show package contents,
open contents folder
open MacOS folder
open the file : twonkymedia.sh with Smultron or textwrangler (both free) or whatever
at the end of the file delete : open http://localhost:9000/, and save

now re launch twonkymediaserver
