Twonky setup on WD My Book World Ed with USB HDD

Post by danyw » Thu Oct 21, 2010 10:46 am

Hi folks,

I'm hoping someone can help me with this. I don't have any files on my My Book World drive at the moment. It has another 1TB USB HDD attached to it with a whole bunch of music and video files. I can't figure out how I can get Twonky to serve those files too. I can see the Twonky server listed on my media player (a Sony BDP-S370) but it says "no playable files" when I browse into it.

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,
Dany.

By default the version of Twonky on the WD My Book will only "see" what is in the Public shares. You will either need to upgrade the version of the Twonky server running on the NAS or adjust some of the scripts for Twonky 5.1 to be able to see addtional shares.
