Transcoding

Hi All,
Im new to this media streaming, I installed and paid for the latest version of Twonky(6.0.28) media server, I installed a codec pack with ffdshow, changed the ffdshow.location file to point at the correct path I installed the codec in.
But the transcoding are still grayed out, how can I enable transcodig?
A guid for "dummies" would be great
Or a link to a thread that shows me how to fix this
