Internet Streaming

Could I get an update on two things:
1. When will Twonky 6.x be able to stream over the Internet? The most recent thing I could find was a 6.1 alpha from July and a comment about "later in the year". How's it coming along?
2. Will there be any sort of iPhone app when that happens? Unless I'm really missing something, PlugPlayer only works over a LAN.
I'm not complaining, just anticipating!
