Hi,

just new to TwonkyServer. After testing it on Windows and my ReadyNAS I decided to buy it (works better than the ReadyDLNA)

Main media recevier is my PS3.
Is it possible to give icons for the folders that are watched by Twonky ? And what about Thumbnails for the videos ? On big libraries a "visual" thing like an icon helps a lot.
The PS3 is able to show such icons (it is working with the Java PS3 Media Server)

Anyone out there who managed this ?

I use mp3tag to embed the cover art for the thumbnails
youll have to use the mp4 file extention for mp3tag to edit the file
I also use mp3tag to add the year and genre
A while back I tried to get artwork for folders working, but never had any success

ok thanks...that will work for music. But what about videos ? I have many TS files with recorded TV-shows from my DVB-S-receiver (sorted in folders)
An icon for the folders would be great, but also the icon for the movie-file itself would be fantastic. The PS3 can create it´s own animated icons, but only for files stored on PS3 HDD - from USB and mediaserver it is not working

yup, no embedded art for ts/m2ts/mpeg etc. on the ps3
99% of my videos are avc in mp4, so its not too big of an issue at the moment, but...
I agree it would be great if we could get artwork for video folders working

I havent checked in a while, but it appears the thumbnails is now working for me at leat with 6.0.30
I just did a quick test with an m2ts file, for ex:

I placed the file test.m2ts and test.jpg in a folder by itself and theartwork was displayed
I paced the files test1.m2ts test1.jpg test2.m2ts test2.jpg in a folder and they both showed artwork

I was not able to get folder artwork working, for ex: folder.jpg in a folder called folder

but hey at least you should be ableto get artwork for those video files

thanks...my ReadyNAS is also running version 6.0.30
I will test this today...a still frame as icon is sufficient for me
