I noticed that 6.0.31 was posted on the main site download section

http://www.twonky.com/support/downloads.aspx

But... it looks like someone forgot to either recompile it, and or remove the RC6 from the server name
you will see this once you install it, and look under the server status of the web config page
it shows

Version: 6.0.31-RC6
Server build date: Feb 11 2011 p6

If no last minute problems are found this will become a final release next week. Although we are rushing the gun a little, there are some features that people have been dying for in this release, so I wanted to make sure everyone knew it was available. I would expect the name will change (to remove the RC) after the next post.

Why would twonky post and RC on an RTM link
When it is clearly posted in the forums for download by anyone who wanted to test it?
Its not like you held it from them, the ones who were dying to try it
That is just bad business practice wouldnt you say?

One can NOT disbale uploads on this any for god only knows how many other versions
I understand its purpose, but it can be used by evil people
which Is why I have to resort to extreme measures to disable it

this does not work uploadenable=0

It's always fun when people yell at you when you try to help them.

1. When I posted the link to the new file, we thought it was going to go final in the next day or two.
2. Since 6.0.31 fixes many problems, I made a decision to post it as a release when technically it wasn't. Many people don't look in the Beta section and only download from the Latest Release section.

In hindsight this was a mistake.

This issue has been fixed in TwonkyServer 6.0.32-RC1

Not sure exactly when this update will be posted here, but it should be in the next 1-2 weeks. Check the Beta section if it's not in the Latest Updates section.
