Does anyone have a problem with streaming youtube or shoutcast on network space 2. I cant get these to show up when i go to the media browser. HELP!!!

I have initial_keystore.dat in /usr/local/twonkymedia


mediafusion-intergration.plugin is in /usr/local/twonkymedia/plugins

What version of twonky are you using
Is it one provided with your device or is it one you have a paid license for?

I bought a Lacie NetworkSpace 2 and a Lacie Mini HD connect. The Mini HD connect came with a full version of twonky server with key. The version of the software is Buffalo TeraStation Pro (ARM) 6.0.32

When you look at the twonky web config

Does it have a section for media feeds section under advanced setup section?

Do you see this file portal_keystore.dat
Fo me on windows its in an appdata folder where the db is held

yes portal_keystroke is in /var/twonkymedia/twonkymedia

along with
twonkymedia-locations-6.db
twonkymedia-config1.html
twonkymedia-config.html
tsbyebye
license.dat
db.info
clients.data
and a folder called DB

ok so it looks like it has made the intial connection, which creates that file to my knowledge

So now lets see if it is turned on

If you went to this url replace <server_ip_address>: with your nas ip

It should return 0

Note:
I am trying to pull mediafusion data myself at the moment
and it does not seem to be pulling the data

usually if I go to one of these, I can see the xml stream it gets
but right now it comes up empty

figured out why the urls werent working
its an ie9 thing
in firefox, it worked as expected

so when you do this, does it return an xml file in the browser?

it just returns a page with a bunch of words. Ill list a few lines. no xml file

on the first url, I see something like this

Any Ideas on what I need to change to get that page to return correctly?

If you had some radio stations check off in media feeds
do either of the links return anything

Those links only returns random local files. I put the radio.m3u file in the root of my audio shared folder and managed to get them to show up. although they will not open.

have you tried to delete the portal_keystore.dat
and restart twonky
and see if gets recreated

recreates right after server restart almost instantly.

have you already tried that before?

If not, did doing that just now help?

First time I did this and no it didn't help.

this is getting interesting

trying to search in these forums, is not fun
so trying to see whom else has had this issue, is a tough find
unless we get the keyword right

we have hit on most of what there is to try
except for a complete uninstall/reinstall
which you probably have already tried

the only remote idea I have is this
if say for some reason the key you are using, is one from the other vendor
I wonder if twonky knows this, and does not do feeds for that key
this is just a guess, as I know that, there are versions out there, that dont do media feeds

If that's the case that sucks. Ill keep trying. Maybe Ill reinstall again. Thanks for the help with trouble shooting.

the only only other thing I can think of is this

there are a lot people on nas devices having serious issues with 6.0.32
and have since rolled back to 6.0.31

I actually just remembered another wierd behavior

So say if the feeds were working, and say you had everything checked
you would be getting a lot of feeds

But say you went back, and then unchecked everything

sometimes a restart does not gid rid of them
sometimes I have to do a db rebuild

this behavior is different for all versions, as the ball keeps moving
