Will not play CD audio ripped into iTunes (on a Mac)

I am trying out TwonkyServer on a Mac as a media server to an LG DVD player.

My frustration is that audio I have ripped into Mac iTunes from CDs cannot be played on the LG DVD player and after investigation, I found cannot be played by the Twonky Media Browser either. The files are 44.1 kHz WAV audio files. Both the Twonky media browser and the interface on the LG see the file, but when I attempt to play them the LG skips them and the Media Browser refuses to play anything either (both interfaces display the song name and duration).

The songs play fine in iTunes and if I locate the song on disk, they are played fine by VLC.

Can anyone explain what is wrong? If your answer is that it is already covered in the forum, please show me how to search for this information as I have spent an hour looking for it already.

thanks,

Dale

Can anyone tell me if there is a better place to ask a question like this? It has been a couple of days since I posted this and I fear no one has experienced the problem I have posted here. Suggestions?

thanks,

Dale

Hi Dale,

Twonky streams almost every file format. Most often these problems are limitations of the player. I'll bet if you try to play the file with another media player like a WD TV Live, it works fine.

Of course there is always the possibility that there is a problem with your ripping software. If you send me a single song test file. I'd be happy to test it here for you. E-mail: tmm-beta@pv.com

Although it's a long shot, I've also seen people change their file extensions from .wav to .pcm and it's fixed problems like this.
