My music (and Twonky server) is stored on a Qnap TS-109 and I am able to access the Twonky webbrowser from afar by my-ip:9000\webbrowse. (I have portforwarded my NAS-ip to port 9000).
But - on that page when clicking on the music node - the ip changes from my-ip (8x.xx.xxx.xxx) to the internal NAS-ip (192.xxx.x.xx) - end of remote show! I can manually replace the internal NAS-ip string with the my-ip string for each step I go down the Twonky tree thereby getting to the actual song I want to play - but this is of course way too much trouble! For instance I can play a certain song remotely by typing this string:
http://8x.xx.xxx.xxx:9000/disk/DLNA-PNM ... 201355.mp3 - so the remote access is working... (this only goes for the HTML solution - flash is not working by remote - but that's fine for me).
Therefore: What simple thing am I doing wrong? How do I prevent the automatic switch from my-ip (8x.xx.xxx.xxx) to the internal NAS-ip (192.xxx.x.xx) when closing in on the song I want to hear in my Twonky tree?

Not doing anything wrong. It does not work and is not supported.

Re: Remote Twonky access - a question...
There is some info about remote access here: http://www.twonkyforum.com/viewtopic.ph ... 646#p32846
There are other good posts about this on the forum as well.
If you're thinking to yourself... this doesn't seem that easy, you'd be right. We're working on a better cloud-based remote access solution which will be released later this year. When it's ready, we'll post info about it in the Beta section of this forum.

Re: Remote Twonky access - a question...
No - seems way above my abilities! Also - my Twonky is located on a Qnap NAS so I am not sure how to access the files...
Anyway - Qnap has launched an app (Qmobile) so now I can access my NAS and all my music remotely. It's NOT as good as having remote Twonky access - but it's working ok on my iPad2!
