First post here so be nice.

I have a QNAP TS210 with version 5.<something> of twonky Server on it. I also have an Internet ready TV and a PS3 which are connected to my network. I have a whole bunch of MP3s, pics and videos on the QNAP which the PS3 and TV can see perfectly well. Brilliant.
However I have a bunch of MKV files which they simply can't deal with. I'm about to update the QNAP to the latest version of Twonky Server. I'm guessing that won't directly solve my issue. However I found this blog entry: http://www.vspecialist.co.uk/qnap-nas-a ... ia-server/ which implies with a little editing of a data file I can make this go.
Do I need to make this change? Could a professional Twonky person tell me if this is a bad idea? If I should make this change, what MIME type should I be using for MKV files on PS3 and Sony Internet TV?
Many thanks if you're able to help me with this!
