Internet Radio Streaming - lengthy delay on Sony Blue Ray

I'm running Twonky 6.0.34 on Win XP and streaming ShoutCast to a wired Sony Blue Ray Player. All works okay - only there is about a 1 min delay before the audio starts. Any suggestions as to what I might need to do reduce the delay?
