Dreambox Recordings on my Sony Bravia 32EX525

Post by greindl » Sun Feb 19, 2012 9:54 am

Hello!

Now I've installed Twonky on my Satellite Receiver (Dreambox), and my Sony TV-Set finds the server without any problems.
The majority of my recordings can be viewed well, but some aren't displayed correctly.
I think, it has to do with resolution, or so. But when I try to view recordings from several TV-Stations, the playback starts, altough the screen of my sony remains black. :(

I would love to use Twonkyserver for this purpose, but only when I'm able to play all of my recorded movies.
Is there anything I can try to fix my problem?

Best regards
Andi

Sounds like a format-related issue.

Normally I'd suggest that you try transcoding, but most DVRs don't have enough processing power to do this on the fly. If you want to try it anyway, here are some suggestions: http://www.twonkyforum.com/viewtopic.ph ... 714#p22749 Although this was written for the PC, I think it may still point you in the right direction.

The other options I can think of would be to purchase a low-cost digital media player like the WD TV which supports more formats or try another media server.
