KDL32W5720 / MP3 stop with 4.11, no pictures with above

Hi all,
I opened this because my experience is somewhat different to the other posts. I apologize if people don't think so.
I bought a Sony KDL 32 5720 (which is supposedly the same as the w5500), updated to the latest firmware and tried to get Twonky to work with it.
I have Twonky Mediaserver 4.11 on an Icybox NAS 4220 running fine - with pictures. Slideshow is working great.
Obviously 4.11 has some issues with MP3 not playing. This is supposedly fixed in versions above 4.11.
I installed Twonky Mediaserver 4.17 (from raidsonic's webpage) and 4.18 on the NAS 4220 with the result that MP3s are playing fine now, but the Sony can't find any pictures any more. Reverting to 4.11 shows pictures.
I also tried Twonky Mediaserver 5 and 5.1, but then I didn't have any entries on the tree at the Sony. The renderer was correctly recognized as Sony Bravia.
Also, I tried Twonky installs on a MacBook with the same results (no music on 4.11, no pictures on versions above, no anything on 5 and 5.1)
Can anyone give me hints on how to solve this? I would love to go to 5, but if it doesn't work...
Cheers,
Thomas
