Howto enable AVI Vidoes on Bravia

Post by robtrapp » Wed Dec 23, 2009 6:21 pm

Hi Guys,

a few weeks ago i was buying me the twonkey server.
I just installed it on my debian linux.
Everything works fine excepting the videos on my bravia 32W5500.

First i thougt i made a mistake by configuration of the twonky.
But all Transocing feature are activate. All hook are setted in the config page and i also restart the server.

Can somebody tell me how i can active that the twonky is transcoding the avi files into an suitable format vor my bravia?

Best regards Robert

Hi RobTrapp.
I think your problem with AVI playback is a limitation of the Bravia TV. According to the manual and Sony website the Bravia TV will only play AVCHD, HDV, MPEG2-PS files. The only thing I can suggest is you convert your AVI files into MPEG files using Nero Vision or some other file conversion utility.
