Bravia XBR9 cannot see any video files in My Book Wolrd

i have
- sony briava kdl-52xbr9
- my book world ii with firmware version 1.1.18 and twonky media server 5.1

symptons
1) bravia can view all the .jpg photos in the shared folder and play mp3 files, however
2) bravia cannot see any files (*.mpg, *.m2ts, *.mkv) under video folder, can only see the subfolders

how do i make the video files in my book world visible to brivia?

this is a common problem many people complained in different threads on the forum. i see a lot of questions but don't really see any instructions on solving the problems.

i just setup twonky w/ my book world II w/ same firmware, etc. and sony bravia 40xbr9 but i think some of the issue you report is due to the tv limitations as seen below:

USB: MPEG2, MP3, and JPEG.
DLNA: MPEG2, LPCM, MP3, and JPEG.

i may try to figure out a way to format to h264 format because this may work but maybe not. this tv can play avi files though because its not above.
