I'm considering replacing my windows media server with an NV+. I'm using tversity server on windows to transcode from Xvid/DivX/ISO/VOB/H.264 to whatever the XB360, PS3, and coffee cans (tivx clients) consider appropriate for play. Tversity works ok, not great. How is the on-the-fly transcoding support on the TwonkyVision for the NV+ port of the software?
Thx in Adv.

Re: Video transcoding and the NV+
Hi drew
As far as I know, the ReadyNAS NV+ is not transcoding at all due to the lack of processing power on the NAS itself (Christian, correct me if I'm wrong).
So the Twonky solution for NV+ is just streaming/presenting the files to the PS3.
Cheers
