EA6900 Access Twonky from Outside Network

Post by geoshtpc » Fri Sep 04, 2015 2:55 pm

How do I access my Twonky Media files outside my home network.

Here is my use case. I have pictures on my Linksys EA6900 stored on a attached hard drive. So now I go to the grandparents house and I want to show them the pics from my server. Im using the twonky app on my Samsung Phone. I can see pics / movies/ music fine ON my home network but NOT when I'm outside my home network.

I can access the server via 192.168.1.1:9999 but dont really see any options.
1) How do I setup my router (portforward or Port triggering)??
2) What ports do I need to open up???/

When I try and set single port forwarding to 9020 on 192.168.1.1 It wont allow me to use this IP. But that's where I have my drive attached to my server which is hosting all of my media files

Usually web hosting is included in the site maintenance package and implies, at a minimum, the service of placing site files on a server that runs the software needed to process requests for these files (web server). As a rule, the service already includes the provision of space for mail, databases, DNS, file storage on a specially dedicated file server, etc., as well as supporting the functioning of the corresponding services.
