uNSLUng and editor capable of UTF-16

Post by quidam » Thu Jul 19, 2007 2:09 am

With TMv4.4, I cannot edit the INI file with any of the editors I'm familiar with that are available on the NSLU2 (vi, nano, joe?).

Can someone tell me what editor can handle the UTF-16 format on an NSLU2?

I'm stuck. I don't see an INI editor interface in the web interface either.

If I open the file from a windows machine over samba, "file save" fails with something like "access denied" or something.

Man, this is way too hard and incredibly frustrating.

Hi rick, you can use joe or midnight commander (mc) in a NSLU2 telnet session or download the file to your pc and edit it with free Notepad++. To replace the file from PC you should change the rights "chmod 777 /twonkyvision/twonkyvision-mediaserver.ini". You´ve to change it for the directory too if you want to change it with Notepad directly. If it´s a security issue you should change it back.
