TwonkyMedia on Openslug
Does the downloadable binary for the NSLU2 only support Unslung or is Openslug also supported?
For OpenSlug BigEndian
Roughly... for openslug bigendian (which is what I use)
http://www.twonkyvision.com/Download/4. ... -2.2.5.zip
unzip it on a pc
use winscp to copy it to the slug
make a directory /opt/twonkyvision aqnd put it in there
make the twonkymedia, twonkymedia.sh and twonkymediaserver files rwx by root
copy the twonkmedia.sh file to /etc/init.d
cd to /etc/init.d
./twonkyvision start
it should start
check with ./twonkvision status
if it doesnt try an ipkg install of glibc-2.2.5 (its been too long since I first set it up)
on Win Xp got to my network places
under network tasks on the left hand side make sure the
its showing icons for networked UPnP devices.
ie it should say "Hide Icons for networked UPnP devices"
The twonkvision server should appear
double click on it and configure.
Note.. I think this thread should be in the OS section NAS and other OS's
I think they meant for this forum to be for linksys media players.
