Installing Twonky on NSLU2

Post by pfield69 » Sat May 10, 2008 1:57 am

OK, I'm probably too daft to work this out but I just can't sus out how to load Twonky on to my NSLU2.

I,ve trawled through countless pages of NSLU2 Lynux stuff but still fail at the first hurdle.

Firtstly I have a sony 4gb usb flash stick to use with the device but although it is recognised in the NSLU's home page I can't format it using the disk utilities supplied. I have formatted it manually into three partitions, 2 being ext3 and 1 as swap. Now the stick is not recognised at all. I have a 250gb usb drive formatted ntfs but this is not recognized.

I was hoping that Twonky would easily install to the device.

Any help to unsling and then install Twonky would be much appreciated.

Ok I got the answer.

I had to reboot without any drives being installed then went straight to upgrade firmware.
Only after loading firmware could the flash stick be formated withthe NSLU.
