View media files from windows on a mac

Post by tclay09 » Sun Jan 01, 2012 7:07 pm

I have done a little research on this program but I couldn't really find the answer to my question. I have a desktop running windows 7 and it has almost 2 TB of hard drive space in which i keep all of my movies/tv shows. I just got a new macbook air for christmas and it only has a 120 SSD installed in it so i am looking for a way to watch my movies/tv shows on my mac from my desktop. I had the program Zumocast but it does not support cross platforms so it did not work. Does this program allow me to watch my movies on my mac from my desktop?

Thanks,
Tyler

TwonkyServer will let you stream movies from any computer. You'll need a player program on your Mac which can browse media on a UPnP or DLNA server. I'm sure one exists, but I can't tell what it's called.
