Music Library keeps "disappearing"

Post by JeremyP99 » Thu Aug 20, 2015 12:35 pm

I recently upgraded, with no problems, from Windows 7 Pro x64 to Windows 10. At first, my Twonky server (which supports just a Marantz M-CR510) was fine - now, it seems to disconnect and restart 10 seconds into the first track I play.

This manifests in the Explorer Network display thus - the "Music Library" (Media devices) and Twonky-Proxy and Twonky-NMC-Queue appear and disappear rapidly. Often, the Marantz just gives up and says "No network connection". It's now three days since I could play anything, and I'm stuck. Am reasonably proficient with Windows and home networking; before I unistall everything, can anybody suggest what might be happening? There's no hints in the event log of anything amiss (that I can find). I've trued with upnp enabled and disabled, it makes no difference.

Would you be able to create a log file following the guidelines listed here:
http://twonkyforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3922#p67416

It would be interesting to "see" what happens on Twonky side at that point...

If you don't want to publish the log file, here, I have just created a support incident to the email address left here in the forum.

Rene,

Thank you for the prompt response. I will do that.

With regard to general information about my environment (http://www.twonkyforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3922)

a) yes, I have rebuilt the database
b) My Marantz M-CR510 (http://us.marantz.com/us/Products/Pages ... tId=MCR510) shows twice in the Media Receivers, viz.

Device name : Marantz - IP 192.168.1.77 - Receiver type : Marantz - Navigation : By folder
: Marantz M-CR510 - IP 192.168.1.67 - Receiver type : Marantz - Navigation : By folder

There is also a "Generic Media Receiver", IP - 192.168.1.254 - Type Generic Media Receiver - Navigation : By folder.

Further information to my initial notification. In my Windows Network display, Media Devices, Marantz M-CR510 is permanently visible; it is the Music Library and the two Twonky "other devices" that continuously appear and disappear.

1. Twonky Server 8.0.3
2. Server - Shuttle SP35P2 Pro
3. Windows 10 Pro x64, recently upgraded from Windows 7 Pro x64
4. Twonky Server is running as a service
5. Clients : Marantz M.CR510
6. Media I am having problems with - music, almost all Flac
7. Number of files in my DB - 135761
8. Wired network.
9. Technicolor TG582n, supplied by my ISP Plusnet.

I'll now enable logging as instructed, and get back to you.

Regards

Jeremy

I will turn on logging, and take it from there.

Many thanks

Jeremy

Update @ 16:22 BST. Same as usual, I can play 10 seconds of one track, and then the music server reloads. Log attached. Log entry times seem odd? No, it seems logging was already on, and the latest entries read

08/20/15 16:21:43:349 [Error] - LOG_SYSTEM: upnp_socket_connect_timeout : connect/select 192.168.1.67:8080 FAILED after 10000 ms with error "0".

08/20/15 16:22:05:070 [Error] - LOG_EVENTING: handleConnections : Received error in resubscribe (635) response 412 from http://192.168.1.67:8080

which looks useful. Full log attached, just in case.

Regards, and over to you.
