Automatic media change detection not working

I have twonky server on win10 and have added some media shares to my freenas box i.e. \\freenas\Media
I copy a new file into the \\freenas\Media share but it is not seen by twonky. I don't wan't regular checks done every n minutes, I want file system watching.
Why doesn't it see the changes?
