Firstly, apologies if this is already answered somewhere here - I had a search but could not find anything!
I have one Windows XP PC.
On this PC I am running WinAmp 5.541 and am streaming this to Shoutcast server 1.9.8 (using the shoutcast source dsp plugin). This bit all seems to work well.
The IP of my PC is: 192.168.1.2
I have installed Twonky 4.4.7 on this PC
I also have an Xbox 360 (unmodified) and can connect to Twonky on the PC -e.g. it will play radio and video from the Internet. This bit also seems to work well.
I would like to use Twonky to stream the local SHOUTcast to the xbox but I cannot find out HOW to configure Twonky to connect to this local SHOUTcast!
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Many thanks, Rich
Connect Twonky to Local Shoutcast Server
Re: Connect Twonky to Local Shoutcast Server
Perhaps some extra info would be useful:
the Radio source is streamed from WinAmp using: Output Address: localhost, Port:8000 Description: ShoutcastRichPC Genre: Rich
(Make this server public is not ticked)
I tried to attach the SHOUTCAST ini file (sc_serv.ini) but that extension is not allowed here. I could copy the text from it into a post here, but it is a fairly large file! Let me know if that would be helpful.
Important bits might be:
PortBase=8000
NameLookups=0
...anything else in there?
Thanks again, Rich
