Windows 7 64 bit

Post by Brian F » Wed Dec 22, 2010 11:19 am

I've just upgraded to Windows 7, 64 bit from Windows XP. Twonky ran perfectly under XP but seems to be over-ridden by Windows 7 to the degree that the server can not be found when our Viera TV goes looking for it. Do I need to upgrade Twonky or disable some element of Windows 7? Thanks. Brian F

Did you install Twonky as an Administrator - not just a user with admin rights but right-click the install file and select Run As Administrator?

Does the Twonky service start OK - do you get the Twonky icon in the system tray? Can you access the config pages and see that the server is running?

PeeBee, Thanks for your help. Reinstalled as administrator, did a custom install that allowed me to specify the file locations and it works a treat now. Thanks again for your help - greatly appreciated.
