File Date Display

Post by tzejohn » Fri May 25, 2007 7:02 am

When viewing files shared by TwonkyMedia, it looks like all the dates that are displayed for each file is the creation date. Is there any way to display/use the last modification date instead?

I just copied a bunch of files from into my linux directory, and the last modification dates are correct, as displayed from 'ls', but all the creation dates are today. Today's date is what shows up for all of the shared files now.

Followup to date display issue

Post by tzejohn » Sun Jun 03, 2007 3:42 am

All of the files in my picture tree have the date working correctly. The tree is displayed using the last modified date on the linux filesystem. So I have pictures listed from 2005, 2006, etc. On the video side, all of my videos are listed as being from one date only, the date the files were copied into the directory. Executing a ls -l, all the dates look fine. The date just seems to be fetched wrong for videos on linux. Specifically, all of my video files are mpeg-2.

Thanks for any assistance.
