Codecs on linux

Post by ajl119 » Mon Oct 15, 2007 8:03 am

Hello.

When installing Twonky Media on linux, what do i do about codec's.
I am installing it on a rpath linux file server appliance, and hence there is no XWindows or any codec's on it.

I don't want XWindows as there is no point, but do i have to install a codec pack, and if so, which one is best.

It doesn't use codecs at all; all support for file formats are compiled into the program. Codecs are a plugin architecture used in Windows only.
