Not creating pid file

Post by toky » Wed Jul 16, 2008 12:55 am

I'm trying to install TwonkyMedia on a RHEL5 box. The install script found in http://www.twonkyvision.de/Download/4.4 ... c-2.2.5.sh did not work properly for me so I ended up downloading the manual install package.

I untar'ed the tarball into /usr/local/TwonkyVision/
Then I placed the install script on /usr/local/ and ran it from there...

Everything seemed fine I can reach the twonkymedia webpage (localhost:9000) when I restart the server I can see the server finds my media files but after awhile it lost all the media found.

When i look for the .pid file its not found!!!

I moved the path to the pid file from:
/var/run/twonky.pid
/var/tmp/twonky.pid

To see if it was a permission problem but its still not working...

It seems the server starts and very shortly dies...any ideas??
