Adding a SMB share as a Content Location on Ubuntu

I'm new to running Twonky on Linux and while I've gotten the server installed and up and running, I can't get it to scan my SMB share (a networked drive on a wireless base station). I didn't have any issues under Windows but I was hoping to be able to run Twonky on my Linux box instead. Is there a certain way I need to format the directory path in the "Content Location" field or is there another configuration setting that needs to be modified? Here is the path as I see it from the terminal:

/home/USER/.gvfs/'mediadrive on shareddrive.local'/Movies/'Feature Movies'

and here is the SMB path from when I drag and drop the folder onto the Content Location field in the TwonkyServer configuration screen:

/smb://shareddrive.local/mediadrive/Movies/Feature%20Movies

I'm a Linux novice at best and definitely a novice when it comes to Samba and network drives. I appreciate any help that can be offered.

I Have a similar question:
how can I add a samba share in the "Content Location"?

i have tried "/smb://192.168.1.99/Music/music_files/music (MP3)" but it does not work!

My configuration:
Twonky running on Ubuntu 10
IP address: 192.168.1.92

Please help!

Thanks for your reply, but it doesn't seem to work this way.
I have added the location "\\192.168.1.99/Music/music_files/music (MP3)" (without the quotes), but in the Server Status page it says:

Last database change: In Progress...
[-/\\192.168.1.99/Music/music_files/music (MP3)]...

Music tracks: 0

And cannot find any tracks in that directory (of course there are many tracks there).

Any suggestion?
Maybe I have to do something alse?
Twonky is running on Ubuntu 10.1 (xbmc-live version) and the server is a FreeNAS.
