Error in 4.4.2 ?

Post by Leg-end » Fri Aug 24, 2007 3:24 pm

Hi there,

I just downloaded Twonky to try it with my Mac and PS3. The version downloaded was 4.4.2.

The problem I was having was once everything was set up and I scanned my drives for Media it would see the files at first then it would say there where no files at all.

The problem I think is that the install package has an ini files with a entry of:
"cachedir=/Users/baier/Installer/Package_Contents/usr/local/mediaserver/twonkymedia.db/cache"
and if you dont have a User by the name of baier the database cache can't be saved.

I unpacked the install package and edited the ini entries ( I think theres 3 of them ) to :
/usr/local/mediaserver/twonkymedia.db/cache
and installed manually and it seems to be working.

I hope I haven't missed something simple and gone a long way about fixing my problem.
By the way I'm on an Intel MAC, don't know if this makes a difference.

Anyway Cheers.

Thanks a lot for pointing this out.

We need to revise the installer!

Thanks

Will you updated the version to 4.4.3 when the installer is corrected?
