Mac DLNA Client

Post by Bruiser » Sun Nov 11, 2007 8:39 am

Anyone know if there is a Mac DLNA Client out there. I know we can get at the media with a web browser. I would rather use something that can play the video full screen and play more than one song at a time.

It would be great if Front Row could connect to a DLNA server.

BTW. TwonkyVision is working great on my old G3 350 that has OSX server installed. My PS3 connected to the big screen. It even plays full 1080P mp4's I've created.

EyeConnect is a DLNA server from what I could see

I want a client that can play content from a DLNA server for MacOSX. I have TwonkyVision running perfectly already. :)

Hi,

I am also very, very interested in a client running on the mac or maybe even a browser plugin that lets me browse the list and then start a movie by (double-)click. It should run full-screen then!

Best theanks for any hint

Have a look at VLC, it might do what you want.

Hello,

I tried everything with VLC, but there is no info and no possibility I see to use VLC as a DLNA or UPNP client.

When using a web browser to access TWONKY, a double-click on a movie results in a download instead of playing the video. So this is not useful at all.

How comes it, that there are several UPNP servers out in the field, but the clients for Windows as well as Mac are hiding?

Please, if anybody has a hint for me ....
