Adding new CD into iTunes but TwonkeyMedia 4.4 doesn`t find

Post by BerndHennig » Sat Nov 24, 2007 9:27 am

G`Day,

(4.4 is working fine with Leopard after I did some work with the firewall) - I have 2 Noxon clients (V1.0 and Noxon Radio), working fine again with Leopard but one problem is possible a problem of my use or I forgot something:

When I add a new CD into iTunes (MP3) and the Source of iTunes is the Source for TM4.4, too, TM4.4 doesn`t count more than "before" the add.

What have I to do to "learn" TM4.4 that new CD`s are "in" ??

Sorry for the silly question....

Perhaps a rescan of directory contents needed?

yep, did a restart, rescan, iTunes restart... Content is in the path
avaiable, I can listen to the music via iTunes but the count
on MS4.4 doesn`t count higher as before (8 new CDs in the dir-tree)

Baffled..a rescan should pick it up. Try deleting twonkyvision.db, and allow a total rebuild, would be my next step. :|

Yep that helped:

-rw-r--r-- 1 root bernd 44238848 25 Nov 00:07 ORIG-twonkymedia.main.db

(old DB)

-rw-r--r-- 1 root bernd 14231552 25 Nov 11:40 twonkymedia.main.db

New one ! But why was the old db soooo large ? I never had more mp3/pictures/videos in as today ???

Tnx for your idea & help

No idea...it sounds like the db was corrupt, and the additional data was either the db retrying to scan/rebuild the same data repeatedly. Glad it's sorted! :)
