Twonky disappeared from the network

Post by tzekin » Sun Feb 20, 2011 12:09 am

Hi I upgraded to Twonky server Version 6.0.28 under OS X 10.4.11 and I can no longer access the server from either PS3, LaCie Cinema HD or Windows Media Player.

I deleted the server, all associated, files flushed the dns and reinstalled it but still the same. I can no longer see the server. It also tends to mess up my system and after reinstall I was unable to load the configuration because I was getting an error message that safari can't find localhost.

I restart the computer the server config is accessible from the browser but if I give it a restart I can no longer access it. It says it can not find localhost.

Any ideas what may have caused this.

Thanks

This morning i was trying to set up xbmc, and checked twonky's configuration panel and to my surprise the PS3 and LaCie HD were listed in the media receivers, although the server never showed up on either device.

Any ideas how to make twonky work again will be much appreciated. BTW: XBMC does show on both my PS3 and Lacie HD

Thanks
