Installed Latest XBOX 360 Update and 4.4-no media showing up

Post by ag2007 » Sat Aug 11, 2007 4:57 pm

Hi Folks,

I just installed the latest XBOX 360 update and upgraded to 4.4 for my ReadyNAS and the XBOX is unable to see any of the media. I've rescanned the content directories as well as even tried to recreate them. Still no luck.

I'm pretty sure it was the XBOX 360 update that did it, does anyone have any ideas.

Thanks

Same problem here!

I have a LaCie Ethernet Disk mini (500GB) with twonkey 4.3 on it. Lacie does not allow the users to update the twonkey server, only by its own software update.

My Xbox 360 sees the server (EDMINI TWONKEYMEDIA), but doesnt seem to connect to it... everytime a select the server, nothing happens...

Haha…wow this strange so sometimes my xbox finds a read content for lacie, right now its working, I even restarted the xbox and still worked…

->However, when playing videos MP4’s will not play, I have gotten “quicktime” type video to work…

So question is how do I get MP4’s to read on the xbox, or how do I convert MP4 to show as quick time file?????

Open the MP4 in QuickTime Player and chose "Save". It will let you save it as a MOV file. Be sure to save it as a self-contained movie.

I haven't had any luck streaming MOV files (with H.264/AAC content) from my DS107e though. Maybe it'll work with MPEG4 content.

OK OK!!! here it is... if you want to stream MP4 to ur Xbox 360 and also have the same file work on ur iPod, simple create the file as u normally do for ur iPod,,,after that open the file in QuickTime Pro, (must be pro and yah it costs 30 bux to upgrade)... once the file is open do a save as,,, this will convert the file to a .mov file...

THIS FILE WILL STREAM TO UR XBOX, via media server – Lacie Drive, AND PLAY ON UR iPod....

or even easier... just rename it to .avi

I have just done this for some .mp4 files that I created with videora BEWARE SCAMMER/SPAMMER/SPYWARE. PLEASE REPORT THIS POST!, and they are playing fine on my xbox 360 from a LaCie twonky server...
