Hi guys. I am an absolute noob when it comes to Linux, so any help would be sincerely appreciated. I'm running Openfiler 2.3 NAS and I've been told by many that Twonky is the best UPnP for it.
I've just download the trial .sh file. Logged in as root and typed in 'sh twonkymedia-i386-glibc-2.2.5-20080730.sh' and a whole bunch of files install. The last few lines however are a little strange...
Starting server ...
twonkymedia-i386-glibc-2.2.5-20080730.sh: line 167: /usr/local/TwonkyVision/twonkymedia.sh: Permission denied
Installation finished
Anyway, I then 'cd /usr/local/TwonkyVision/' and then 'sh twonkymedia start' and then 'sh twonkymedia status' and receive -- Twonky server IS running.
Great! Only, I don't even know how to configure/setup Twonky so that I can start streaming media from Openfiler to my XBOX360.
Twonky on Openfiler (rPath) to XBOX360
Re: Twonky on Openfiler (rPath) to XBOX360
Nevermind, I'm such a goose .... I've been going insane trying to configure Openfiler for the last two weeks that I'm thinking everthing else is just as difficult.
I'm happy to say that Twonky has been the simplest to install and quickest to get running application I've EVER used on Linux

so how has the setup been running? do you have multiple users streaming different media at the same time?
thanks for your time and info...
