New user - Linkstation 4.4.6 - How do I buy a license key?

Hi

Just found out about the Twonky server and got it running on my Linkstation a couple of weeks ago,

Obviously now I'm a few days away from the end of my trial period and need a license key to keep using it.

So, I know that this version is discountinued, however I've seen that version 4.4.11 can be activated with a version 5 key.
Can anyone confirm if this will work for my version though, and how I go about buying it?

I tried version 4.4.11 but had the same issues everyone else has, it fails to start once installed, so only 4.4.6 is an option for me.

I have exactly same problem.
I've send email to Twonky support to ask if there is a way to use 4.4.6 and version 5 key. Well, answer was just links to versions 4.4.11 and 5.0.46 which seem to work with version 5 key.

Unfortunately these newer versions does not work in my Linkstation Live. Version 4.4.6 works just fine and I'm happy with it.
too bad, trial period is over just after couple of days.

Now I'm looking some other options. Anyone knows if there are any other similar server SW, which is easy to install and works with PS3??

This is good news.

Can you confirm exactly which license I need to buy to get this working?

I have reverted to Firefly for now, but will give Twonky another go if I can get a license.

Sorry, just realised you posted a link to buy it. Will give it a go if I can get the server up and running again.

Thanks alot for the info.

I can confirm that I bought a new license and it worked with my version.

Hopefully this will be helpful for other people.

Hey,
I just got the 4.4.11 working on my Linkstation with FW 2.10
The only trick was to keep the PCast running. Set the Rescan to manual and delete the Database but keep it running and the Twonky will work just fine !!!! Done some restarts of the Linkstation and no Probs after that. Some restarts of the Twonky and still working ! Try it out ...
