NAas- its' there but not ! !

Please help.
I have read through the Nas posts which are quite old and relate to the mainstream Nas devices.
I have a Level 1 FNS-5000b Nas with bells, whistles and TMS 4.2Q built in.
I have burrowed my way into the TMM user menu and give the device enough info for it to be able to find my media etc. My laptop has found the Nas in uPnP network devices and double clicking takes me back into the TMM menu....but where is the program??
I have seen the TMM GUI online but the documentation with the NAS or TM's own makes no reference to running finding or the program.
As the Nas came with Twonky installed but has no obvious GUI I am confused as to how I proceed.
Do I need to load the TMM onto each device or should the NAS control all devices via its own software???

I'm not the greatest IT boffin around but I have to say this is the most confusing set up i've come accross. I am pursuing the install because of the reviews you guys have given it.

Please help

Thanks

Dave
