Hello, I'm new to the forum and I need some suggestions.
I'm going to but my first device to listen to music from a streaming source.
The audio device will be Soundbridge or squeezebox or streamium.
Which NAS or combo would you suggest?
I'd like to have something in order not to have my pc/laptop always running.
Is there something I can use to stream videos to my TV with a HDMI connection (like the Verbatim media station or the Freecom mediaplayer) that will do the job?
Thank you in advance and kind regards
Please help me in choosing my new NAS

Re: Please help me in choosing my new NAS
Hi
I am fairly new to this as well - I am using a NSLU2 device with a 16GB USB drive for the music.
I am trying to set up Twonky or Firefly on to the device and stream the music to a Pinnacle Soundbridge radio (the pinnacle is similar to the Roku device, but won't use mt-daapd)
i went for a NSLU2 and thumb drives, because it is very small, quiet and only uses few watts of power. Going this route does require a bit of setting up...
the is good, but very long thread here worth reading

good luck
